Hello! I’m Richard!
I’m a self-taught photographer and I have been professionally practicing photography for the past 8 years. My deep passion for storytelling was inspired by documentary-style wedding photographers who captured real in-between moments of love. I am blessed to have worked alongside many acclaimed
wedding photographers that have allowed me to continue to hone my craft. In the last 2 years, my passion to tell stories has evolved into a photo journalistic journey of documenting the refugee plight in the Middle East. As a first generation Asian-American, my parents were refugees themselves that needed support. I wanted to find an outlet to share that experience. Through my time serving with Habibi-International, a non-profit that brings humanitarian aid to refugees in Iraq, I'm able to truly understand the struggles my parents had to go through to give me a better life. This is where my story starts and I'm excited for any opportunities that allow me to do what I love and capture still moments in life. What is your story?
